A primary goal was to launch the business before the holiday season. We were working to a very demanding schedule; opening multiple stores in quick succession, right before Christmas, comments Greg Jenkins, Assistant Operations Director for the group.

However, the team faced a big challenge. Of course they couldnt miss Christmas, but, at the same time, they didnt have any EPOS solution provider yet and were conscious of the crucial importance of it. Whilst the deadline was critical, we still couldnt compromise on the systems functionality, asserts Jenkins.

They needed an EPOS system that consolidated trading information coming from the seven boutiques. In this way, they can monitor sale, stock and customer data from every branch in near-real time and also change prices or promotions to all terminals simultaneously. O Spa asked Octepos to configure a bespoke retail EPOS system regarding their specific requirements.

The systems we had initially looked at didnt do everything we needed of them and the suppliers were unsure as to whether they could work to the plan. As opening dates loomed, Octepos were recommended to us. They nailed the deployment and demonstrated they were committed to our long term goals too.

Octepos expert team configured the Head Office software suite, combining two modules; the Multi Site Manager and Web Head Office software modules. This lets the management team control product offers and till designs centrally from head office. Furthermore it ensures true multi-site customer management and loyalty.

Jenkins, very happy with the new tailored Octepos EPOS system, explains, They host the solution and deliver the data to a secure online portal they provide. We gave them a sketch of the key reports we needed to see ach day, and they built them to our specification. The whole system has been painless to set-up and is proving critical to our day to day operations.

Once the systems were installed, Octepos offered a training session on how to use the EPOS tills. Staff training was delivered on site the morning we opened in Westfield. Its such a simple system to use that we were up and trading the same afternoon, confirms Jenkins.

Thinking of their future investments, Jenkins says Now that the retail side of the EPOS system is in place, we are scoping the next steps for our treatments and spa. Octepos will meet their demand by integrating Booking and Customer Loyalty software modules. The first one will help manage every booking, reservation or appointment effortlessly. The second one will help build a strong customer base and increase sales with personalised promotions.
