North West Community Services ( NWCS) are having an Open Day on Wednesday 21st April from 2pm 6pm at their North Liverpool based centre in Fazakerley, to offer young people aged 16 19 opportunities to enrol in their Level 2 Apprenticeship programmes for Child Care and Health & Social Care.
This will be a great opportunity for young people to come and discuss what apprenticeships are available and the work involved. The Level 2 qualification is valued equally to 5 x GCSEs A-C and may lead to an opportunity to enrol for the Level 3 qualification which is valued equally to 2 x A levels. Once these qualifications are achieved, there may be opportunities to enrol onto some University courses for Social Work, Nursing, Teaching, Midwifery, Youth Work and other related careers.
NWCS also have an Entry to Employment ( E2E ) Foundation Programmes for young people aged 16 -18 who may be undecided what career path to take or who may not have achieved their full potential at school. This programme covers 3 areas including Maths and English skills, personal & social skills and work placements. The work placement opportunities on offer include; Car Mechanics, Construction, Engineering, Sport, Army, Hairdressing, Child Care, Health & Social Care and Retail. There are Employability sessions which will help you to build a CV, gain interview experience, complete application forms and job search for potential employment opportunities.
