Nationwide Care Group Release “How Are We Doing” Survey Results

Press Release: July 15, 2020

One of the UK’s leading care service providers Hales Group has recently released the findings of their “How Are We Doing”, survey initiative.

The group opened out the survey to both their staff and service users, to gain a better understanding of how they felt the organisation had handled the COVID-19 crisis, how safe they felt and how relevant the support was that they were given.

Some of the findings were as follows:

  • 1% of service users felt that they received appropriate support from the care team to adapt to COVID-19 restrictions.
  • 7% of service users reported feeling generally safe during the height of the pandemic.
  • 9% of care workers and staff said that it was easy to access all the necessary PPE they needed to perform their role safely.
  • 6% of care workers and staff felt safe and secure while performing their roles.

Jeffrey G Fowler, Chairman of the Hales Group, had this to say: “We are absolutely delighted with the feedback we received from our recent survey. It is encouraging to see the positive comments for all the work our colleagues are doing during these unprecedented times and that overwhelmingly both staff and care users feel safe and well supported.”

He continues, “we will continue to listen to our staff teams, our service users and their families. We will review and where necessary, modify processes to meet the challenges that we all still face together.”
