It has been three years since the launch of Gartex but every year the feeling is new as the organisers bring in a lot of innovations in the content and presentation of the nationally acclaimed exhibition. This year, it will be an even more enriching experience for the stakeholders as MEX has entered into a strategic alliance with the global brand Messe Frankfurt. This will now see joining of forces of brands Gartex & Texprocess, and so, the show will now be called Gartex Texprocess India instead of Gartex India.
The Denim Show, which saw its inaugural edition in 2018 edition and is held as a parallel event along with Gartex Texprocess, would also benefit a great deal through this partnership. It is organised in collaboration with Denim Manufacturers Association (DMA). To make it fruitful while taking into consideration the needs of varied players in the denim industry, this year the one-of-its-kind Show will have four key highlights, namely, Denim Applications, Denim Talks, Denim Trends and Denim Walks.
Denim Applications is dedicated to highlighting the rapidly increasing range of the applications of Denim fabrics and textiles, while under Denim Talks, a conference is held to enable the denim fraternity to clear their doubts on manufacturing, technology, applications or trends in the industry. Denim Trends is designed to highlight recent trends, besides showcasing latest technologies and advancements in denim, while the fourth section Denim Walks is aimed at highlighting a collection of latest designs and fashion trends in the denim clothing. There would be multiple rounds of ramp walks wherein male & female models would showcase the designs and styles of denim garments.
All these sections will also promote the concept of circularity in denim industry under the theme Denim 4.0. The need of the hour is environment-friendly technology and processes, and Denim Show will provide a platform for various representatives of the industry to understand and acknowledge the developments on this front. Highlighting innovations in the denim industry, Denim Show acts as a one-stop-destination for the suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, designers and other stakeholders in the denim and allied industries.
India has become the world’s second largest producer of denim fabric with manufacturing capacity touching 1,600 million meters annually. Denim, an immortal fabric that has stood the test of time, has become a rage once again. Today, its application is not only restricted to clothing but has also seeped into various other aspects of modern lifestyle. The versatility that denim offers is unmatched, and keeping this in mind, organisers have designed this show in such a way as to offer enormous opportunities to all exhibitors to showcase their products and interact with their potential clients.
The event will be held as a concurrent event under Gartex 2019 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from August 10-12, 2019.
