Landlord Smart welcomes George Ashworth as Chairman

Property lease finance brokerage, Landlord Smart Limited, has appointed asset finance expert George Ashworth as its first ever Chairman.

Landlord Smart provides asset finance to landlords and property operators, enabling the furnishing and dressing of all types of properties and helping landlords preserve their capital. They have appointed Ashworth as Chairman for his in-depth market knowledge and experience, to oversee the transition of Landlord Smart from a brokerage to a funding principal.

Ashworth has over 40 years’ experience in banking and asset finance. He is considered one of the top asset finance industry influencers. Most recently he was Managing Director of Santander Asset Finance plc. Prior to that, he held senior managerial positions within banks and asset finance businesses such as RBS, Aldermore Bank and ABN Amro Leasing UK. 

Speaking of his appointment, Ashworth said: "I have known Landlord Smart’s founder Tracey Woods for a number of years. I have seen first-hand how she first built a successful property career and then, demonstrating great innovation, developed the proposition that is today delivered by Landlord Smart.
