Jaipur Literature Festival 2021 going to be held virtually

The 14th season of the Jaipur lit fest is all set to commence this year virtually. The festival will be hosted from 19th to 21st February and then 26 to 28 February.

Following the lines of every other event happening virtually, Jaipur Literature Festival will also be featured online. Live virtual sessions will be hosted and an array of themes and writers will be part of the fest. The audience all across the planet will be able to participate this year. More than 100 speakers will be attending the upcoming season of the renowned lit fest 2021 in Jaipur. 

The list contains a miscellany of authors, politicians, and exceptional speakers from different arenas like Albie Sachs, Bibek Debroy, Carlo Rovelli, Daniel Simpson, John Zubrzycki, Marina Wheeler, Michael Sandel, Moin Mir, Moni, Mohsin, Navtej Sarna, Oliver Craske, Prasoon Joshi, Priya Atwal, Ramachandra Guha, Ranjit Hoskote, Sarbpreet Singh, Shashi Tharoor, Shylashri Shankar, Simon Winchester, Stephen Brusatte. Prasoon Joshi will be one of the most talked-about personalities to participate in JLF 2021. 

Some of the themes participants will be witnessing at JLF 2021 entail Politics & History, Mental Health, Business & Economics, Technology & AI, Environment & Climate Change, Translations, Poetry & Music, Food & Literature, Geopolitics, Science & Medicine, Democracy & Constitution and many more.

According to the organizers, the objective is to establish a more enchanting experience using amplified reality, giving easy access and participation to bibliophiles from all across the globe. “This year Jaipur Literature Festival will come off distinctly in a digital version, with great authors and amazing speakers from corners of the world acquainting to readers and JLF enthusiasts everywhere." 

The author, historian and JLF Co-director William Dalrymple spoke of the pandemic and said, "despite the pandemic and political disruptions around the world, the Jaipur Literature Festival will still be spreading its wings. JLF has now moulded itself into one of the world's most distinguished online spaces for genuine conversations about books and writing." 

JBM online edition from 22nd to 25th February 2021

Jaipur BookMark (JBM) will also introduce its eighth edition with an interesting online program. The online version of JBM will run from 22nd to 25th February 2021. Two sessions will be hosted per day bringing together an array of publishers, literary agents, authors, translators, translation agencies and booksellers from all over the world. This program will provide them with an opportunity to interact and take notice of the leading global industry.

Along with relishing the scholarly sessions, attendees will also get to vouch for the signature music sessions of the fest with enactments by leading artists and performers. The customized Festival goodies and books by contributing authors will be available online on the Jaipur Literature Festival's official website.
