Insignia look back at 2015

Press Release: December 09, 2015

With 2015 coming to a close, Insignia Medical Systems, the pioneering UK based Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) provider, reflects on the year and celebrates their latest product release.

2015 has been a year of growth for Insignia, expanding their office space by 30%, taking on a Marketing Manager, Clare Carpenter, and welcoming a new updated brand look with the launch of their website which went live in September.

The company, which has gone from strength to strength over the past 15 years, celebrated a successful event at UKRC in June, when they hosted their ‘X-Ray Arms’ pub themed stand which proved very popular with the crowds. Plans have already begun for the June 2016 event.

Insignia are delighted to have partnered with Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust to provide a first class integrated PACS and Reporting Solution, and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where they are deploying an Insignia Sharing Solution to provide regional sharing, home reporting and support for their Academic Health Science Network.

Moving into December the company have launched the latest version of their InSight PACS, InSight 8.2. The release is running at many sites and will be incrementally rolled out throughout 2016.

InSight 8.2 offers numerous enhancements, all driven by customer needs. These include, the ability to automate the management of regional MDT meetings, saving customers considerable administrative overheads; performing cross site image referrals with a click of a button, enabling a clinician driven workflow; and system integration directly with cancer registry systems, enabling fast and efficient MDT preparation.

Speaking about the latest developments, Jon Hall, Chief Technical Officer, Insignia Medical Systems “We have been working closely with our customers in order to produce the best possible solution to their clinical needs. We’re really excited to be able to roll out InSight 8.2, the feedback so far has been very complimentary and all goes towards improving patient care.”

To end the year, Insignia are proud to be sponsoring an F1 racing car simulator at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to help raise funds for their charity, whilst holding some of their own internal festive events to raise money for the Text Santa charities of Macmillan Cancer Support, Make a Wish and Save the Children.

The company is looking forward to moving into 2016 which will see more developments and enhancements to help drive the industry forward and ultimately improve patient care.
