LONDON, 8 October 2019: HealthUnlocked, the world’s largest social network for health, announced the appointment of Joe McFadden in the newly created position of Chief Technical Officer.
McFadden, a strategically focused IT leader with 20 years of experience across multiple sectors, has a proven track record in strategy development, digital transformation, enterprise architecture and organisational change. He will be instrumental in leading the technical vision of the company.
Joe’s experience spans the creative industries, media and charity sectors and joins HealthUnlocked from the Royal Opera House, where he led the delivery of a major digital transformation to reach new audiences, improve the venue experience and drive increased income.

The appointment of CTO follows a series of important new hires in the last few months that will help drive the company forward and maintain its position as the digital disruptor in healthcare. Last month, the company also hired ex PatientsLikeMe Innovation Director, Paul Wicks, PhD. to join HealthUnlocked as Chief Scientific Officer. They will be instrumental in developing and implementing a series of new initiatives and partnerships both in the US and the UK.
These key appointments are a direct reflection of the company’s growth as the demand for patient-empowered and personalised healthcare increases.
