Headcams to sort out the Office crowd.

Press Release: March 29, 2010

A LIVERPOOL bar described by police as rotten to the core has been pro-active in adhering to a strict set of conditions that have been placed on it. The Office Bar in Concert Square was set to close after a catalogue of violence at the venue was revealed. The security firm have now been removed and replaced with Door-sec who controls several high profile venues across the region. Premises supervisor Gary McGovern has also been removed from the bar.

This venue now has 21 days to the appeal date and has laid down some major changes so to remain open and trading across that time. Aiding the new security team in their roles will be the state of the art Robocam headsets. Doorsec Security Solutions the firm behind the technology are the first in the North West to use this technology and have invested in headsets that have been successfully rolled out already across several of their Liverpool city centre premises. With video recording image as well as audio the Robocam can be used to assist in the overall security of staff, security staff and customers in and around alcohol licensed premises.

The Office Bar will now also display a yellow poster detailing all the conditions that have been imposed. Another major change being the introduction of Challenge 21 where those who appear below 21 are asked to provide ID to prove their age.

Gary Bond from BMG the spokesperson for Door-sec said, Door-sec is happy to be working in conjunction with the Office Bar, Pubwatch and Merseyside Police to bring the state of the art Robocam system into operation at this venue. It is Door-secs objective to help make the Office Bar and Concert Square a safer place for all customers, staff and door staff.
