Press Release: July 19, 2016
July 2016 – 100 secular trees, 2000 trees between the varieties of Grignano, Favarol, Leccino and Moraiolo, hand harvested and immediate pressing: this is Ca’ del Doge, the new brand launched by the historical Frantoio Bonamini. In fact, in 2016, the Bonamini’s decided to bring to life the 5 hectares estate that previously belonged to the venetian Antonella Lucchesi (and from here you can tell the choice of the name Ca’ del Doge), increasing the number of the olives trees with some of new varieties.
Along the slopes of the Illasi Valley, in the shadow of the medieval castle, takes place an ancient love story, between the man and his land, which originates today an extra virgin olive oil of high level and quality, delicate and aromatic, which meets the taste of the most refined and demanding palates.
The Ca’ del Doge line comes in three different products:
Rialto, yellow color with greenish hues, delicately fruity with floral hints and slightly spicy and bitter to the taste. Mix of Grignano, Favarol, Gentile and Leccino, this product goes well with dishes such as vegetable appetizers, grilled fish or goat cheese.
Piano delle Logge, bright green color and a perfume that goes by the aroma of artichoke to that of almond. The slightly bitter taste makes the perfect accompaniment to vegetable soups, pasta with meat sauces and cheeses. Ogliarola , Frantoio and Coratina; these are the varieties that make this product really valuable.
Ducale, yellow with green highlights, lemon, flowers and wild herbs fragrance and basil aroma with a finish of dried fruit. Grignano and Favarol in equal proportions make this oil ideal on seafood salads, cheeses and sweet leavened.
Thanks to a careful production process, that from hand picking leads quickly to cold pressing, less than 27°, in the mill in a continuous cycle, owned by the family, the Ca’ del Doge extravirgin olive oil retains all the properties and flavor of the olive, telling of the scents of nature and a history that spans centuries.
