Digital musician and composer on a roll with new single drop, and Lighthouse Records compilation feature
Friday, July 8, 2016 — Based out of the Aborginal community of Lockhart River in regional QLD, surrounded by reef and rainforest, Liam White – the driving force of Fenton Four – has hit the ground running. With 3 singles as Fenton Four under his belt, along with successes in numerous other bands including placing 2nd in state-wide composition competitions, Liam White’s latest project, Fenton Four, is a vessel of pure creativity and musical mastership.
Having played the saxophone since a kid, Liam combines his saxophone prowess and blends it with skilled electronic production techniques – all learned in house – as displayed on Fenton Four’s latest single ‘Push’.
One of the hardest working producers in Queensland, a combination of stellar awards and an appearance on Hamish and Andy’s ‘Rockhampton’ radio podcast as a saxophonist, has Landed Fenton Four spots on festivals like Collaborations Festival and Queensland Music Festival. Their sound is often compared to Avicii, Martin Garrix and David Guetta.
The track ‘Push’, is an up-tempo, slow build electronic anthem, with solid basslines and saxophone hooks, tied in with major label style production. It’s all centred on a repeating, hooky saxophone chorus leaving no surprise as to why Fenton Four are consistently winning composition awards.
“Some challenges of life and work commitments were overwhelming, said Liam. “I needed something to ‘push’ me through, so I composed this electronic dance piece, the idea being the music would provide that energy and positivity to drive you on to overcome the hurdles.”
In addition, Fenton Four’s track ‘Push’, will be featured on Lighthouse Records’ compilation album, ‘Indie Legends’, which is due out July 22. Pre-Orders are now available from the Lighthouse Records website.
If you would like to catch Fenton Four at a live show, they will be performing with The Taste as support on July 22nd at 12 Bar Blue in Cairns, and 14th August at The Lagoon.
