Easynet named Microsoft Skype for Business Launch Partner

Managed service provider, Easynet, has been appointed a “Global Skype for Business Launch Partner” making it part of an elite group chosen by Microsoft, to lead the launch of its new offering.

Microsoft launched Skype for Business earlier this year – a new platform that combines the benefits of its existing enterprise-grade Microsoft Lync platform, with the Skype platform it acquired in 2011.

Easynet was selected by Microsoft due to its considerable experience in the roll-out of Microsoft Lync and its track record of working closely with Microsoft to deliver complex and innovative global projects to businesses such as Sibelco, Terumo, Primagaz, Q-Park, and Asics.

This integration means that enterprises can preserve assets such as videoconferencing rooms whilst allowing literally anyone to join a Skype for Business call by using a simple web browser, thereby championing the ubiquitous ‘anywhere, anytime, any device’ ethos of UC&C.

New features include: a simplified and user-friendly interface; the innovative ‘Call-Via-Work’ feature to provide easy PBX integration; and audio access to a local device when mobile. Easynet can provide a fully managed cloud hosted Skype for Business service with a simple per-user monthly commercial pricing model.
