Dr. Sitaram Shankar Kolhe received Presidential gallantry medal on 15 August 2020 for his exceptional service and amazing track record in Maharashtra Police Department.
Originally from Loni Haveli,Parner, Ahmednagar. he completed his graduation in Tabla and BSc in Physics further doing post graduate in M.Sc. Maths and a prestigious MBA in Human Resources, But the cherry on top is his PhD in Criminal Psychology. This makes him multi faceted, multi tasker and an extra ordinary person.
Certainly one of the best asset for the Maharashtra Police, Yet he comes across as a very gentle and soothing soul. His ability to enable and empower others is really worth experiencing.

Research and Exploration – Published 14 research papers in national and international journals, wrote for Dakshata Police Magazine for two consecutive years, Delivered lectures for students and new officers and staff in the police force.
He is an avid book reader and takes interest in books on science, philosophy, psychology, law and spiritual self help books.
1992 – Selection for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police, with first posting in Amravati followed by Nagpur, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Nashik-Rural, CID, Special Security Department
And currently working in Nashik city holding post of Senior Police Inspector with Central Crime Branch
Rewards – During his 28 years of service so far, he has received around 600 awards, 85 official appreciation letters.
He has received the ‘Director General of Police’s Honor’ and the prestigious ‘Girna Gaurav Award’.
Investigation – He has uncovered complex crimes of murder, robbery, financial scams and investigated those crimes in an excellent manner leading to the accused being sentenced to life imprisonment and hard labor in those crimes.
Social Work – While working as a police officer in daily life, while interacting with all the members of the society in a friendly manner, he also helps the miscreants,first time offenders in personal / social guidance with his precise knowledge of ‘Criminal Psychology’. This drastically brings down the wish to commit crime and has helped lowering the crime rate. He is passionate about social work and has handled the responsibility of ‘Nodal Officer’ of Nashik City Police Force to provide medical facilities to the covid positive patients.
For his outstanding service of 28 years so far, he has been awarded the Presidential Gallantry Medal of the highest honor in the Police Force on 15 August 2020.
He has been congratulated by the Director General of Police of Maharashtra, Commissioner of Police of Nashik city as well as other social organizations and citizens for this national level honor!!
