Direct Food Ingredients Celebrates 21st Birthday

Press Release: September 16, 2016

Leading food, nutritional and sports ingredients distributor, Direct Food Ingredients Limited (DFI) celebrated its 21st birthday in style at earlier this month.

The company held two lavish parties across the two evenings at Macclesfield Town Hall to celebrate the landmark milestone and invited customers, suppliers and members of staff to enjoy a relaxing yet fun evening in DFI’s home town. Also in attendance was the company’s charity of the year, Space4Autisim.

During the evening a heartfelt speech was made by managing director Steve Loake, discussing how the business was started and key landmarks during its growth.

DFI was established after Steve spotted a gap in the market to supply high-quality food ingredients that had been reputably sourced. The company is now the preferred supplier for many well-known names within the food and drink industry.

Operating globally, DFI also opened a dedicated US office in 2015 and the business is set to turnover £16m in sales by the end of the year.

Steve commented: “We are thrilled to be celebrating our 21st birthday this month. We have come a very long way since we started all those years ago and it was wonderful that we could commemorate our achievements at this special event.”

“I would like to thank all of our customers who have believed in us from the very beginning and also a special thank you to the DFI team, as their hard work and commitment has helped us get to where we are today. We look forward to our next milestone.”

Direct Food Ingredients’ head office is located on Waters Green in the centre of Macclesfield. The business is an established leader in the importation, storage and distribution of functional foods, nutritional and sports ingredients as well as vitamin and mineral premixes.
