According to studies
It is said that diabetes is associated with a person's diet and lifestyle. But a new study found that women who have periods start at a young age. They increase the risk of type 2 diabetes. This study also stated that body mass index (BMI) may also worsen.

Type 2 diabetes has become one of the commonest diseases worldwide, as it has affected around 8.8 percent of people aged 20 to 79 in the world in 2015.
In this study, about 15,000 such Chinese women were inspected, whose periods had stopped coming. This showed that women who started entering periods of age had a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes. At the same time, women who started having late periods, the chances of having type 2 diabetes decrease by about 6 percent.
Dr. Stephanie Phobian of the North American Menopause Society Medical Director says that the longer the delay in the onset of periods in women, the greater the risk of suffering from type 2 diabetes.
Dr. Fabian also said that if the period starts at the age of 14, then the chances of this disease are very high. Not only this, but getting the right amount of nutrition in childhood also plays an important role in keeping this disease away.
