Derry Native Releases Second Novel Based at Historic Grianan of Aileach
Stone Forged, The Ailigh Wars Saga, Book 2
Author of Stone Heart, The Camel Trail and the Rider Series

TYRONE, NORTHERN IRELAND (June 2020)—Derry-born writer Peter J Merrigan releases his latest novel, STONE FORGED, book 2 in the Ailigh Wars Saga, on JULY 17, 2020. A follow-up to STONE HEART (2018), STONE FORGED has been two years in the making, exploring Iron Age Ireland and the importance of Grianan Aileach (Irish: Grianán Ailigh) as a royal site circa 270 BC.

Two years ago, Ireland ended an invasion. Now, it must prevent an uprising. When peace is shattered by a southern king, the northern Ó Mordha tribesmen at Grianán Ailigh must once again join the fight. For the druids’ omens speak of death and destruction. And if Ailigh does not stand, everyone will fall.

Book 1 in the Ailigh Wars Saga has been described as “Merrigan’s most confident writing yet” by author Malcolm Richards and compared to US author Morgan Llywelyn by A. K. Forde.

Available from online retailers, priced at £8.99 (paperback) / £2.99 (ebook).
