LyricalGenes’s album, ‘Dana Burtin’, was officially released on January 4th, 2021 and has become his most popular album from an analytic perspective with 95k streams in the album’s first two days of release. With this recognition, ‘Dana Burtin’ was given a written critique on January 15th, 2021 by ‘Divide and Conquer’. Being the second album reviewed by ‘Divide and Conquer’, (the first being LyricalGenes’s debut album ‘2019 The Album’) LyricalGenes scored a more than “favorable” rating from the music critiques.

Receiving a rating of 3.9 out of 5, according to the Divide and Conquer website, a score of 3 and above is considered a “favorable” rating. At the end of the article, the author of the review article, being around 40 years of age, recommends LyricalGenes’s album to all listeners.

Also, in the review article, the author writes how LyricalGenes was the artist he has heard with a speech as his first track on the album. The ‘Divide and Conquer’ author states, “I’ve never heard an album start with an actual message like this. The first track “First Message (Freedom of Thought)” isn’t a song, it's him speaking to his audience. It’s basically about appreciating art for art and not because it’s popular.”
