Core Consultancy debuts Channel Programme to support launch of enhanced DataSafe backup and recovery solution

Core Consultancy switches to 100% channel model as it launches new High-Availability continuous data protection and remote recovery solution service for small and medium businesses

London, England 13th April, 2010 Core Consultancy, The leading disaster recovery and business continuity specialist has announced its first Channel Programme to support the launch of a new version of DataSafe, its popular data backup and recovery service, which will offer significant margin, sales support and market development activities to resellers and system integrators across the UK.

The Core DataSafe service, which protects hundreds of terabytes of data for SMEs across the UK, has been updated by developers at Core Consultancy to support a host of new features and will for the first time be delivered exclusively through a 100% channel model. The two-tier program will cover smaller consultants with a low touch Certified referral programme and a more advanced Professional tier aimed at systems integrators.

By moving to a 100% channel model, we will expand our coverage and help our partners offer a wider range of services, explains Sharad Saggar, Managing Director of Core Consultancy Ltd, Backup and recovery is still a vital requirement and as the door opener it allows our channel partners to deliver their own complimentary value added goods and services like managed helpdesk, VoIP and training.
Core DataSafe, which won the e commerce awards, and has been shortlisted for this years Business Continuity Awards, Specialist Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Company of the Year, and most Innovative Solution of the Year is a hybrid service that uses a local backup appliance and a remote datacenter network to store and recover critical data. The upgraded version now supports Instant Virtualisation technology to allow clients to quickly gain remote access to recovered applications and data via the internet. Core DataSafe now offers a continuous data protection scheme which means clients can specify how often a backup should occur, from as little as every 15 minutes, to ensure that no critical data is lost in the event of a major incident such as an evacuation, fire or flood.

Hardware fulfilment and distribution will be handled by our partner Softcat and is based on architecture from HP, explains Saggar, While all 2nd and 3rd line support as well as disaster recovery process enactment will be handled directly by our in-house operations team.

Core Consultancy will also be offering partners the option to sell capacity in its off-site vaulting service within its datacenters.
Core Consultancy currently works with 12 partners who they have previously helped deliver DataSafe who will be offered free training to enable them to quickly enter the initial partner programme. Over the last 11 years, we have developed a sizable customer base and the move to a channel model offers the potential to dramatically grow the use of DataSafe by small and medium business across the UK.
At the moment, there are no vendors that can match our longevity or offer a comparable service aimed squarely at the needs and price point of the SMB market and we will be aggressively marketing DataSafe to both the channel and end users at events and through the media over the next year. Saggar adds.

Core Consultancy provides a number of value added services through partners including managed two-factor authentication for data security and annual disaster recovery tests to ensure each client is fully protected. The Core DataSafe solution adheres to ISO17799 / BS7799 standards and is backed up by a 24 hour helpdesk, physical server restoration and delivery and a full business continuity planning and implementation service.
