Chalkley Takes Modernists For One Last Spin

Press Release: April 12, 2010

LONDON, UK Music photographer Dean Chalkley is celebrating the success of his latest exhibition, The New Faces, by putting on a special party in London on 15th April.

The highly acclaimed music photographers exhibition has attracted many photography and music fans since it opened last month, all fascinated by Chalkleys story of eight Modernists, young men and women bound together by their shared passion for smart dressing and great dancing.

Chalkley used East London-based award-winning photographic print studio theprintspace to print the photographs on Hahnemuhle Photorag paper, resonating the nostalgic, retro feel of the exhibition. This paper also could be seen as the antidote to the post sterile photographic movements of the last decade and is great for black and white shots.

theprintspaces Max Munton said, This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate a fascinating exhibition, capturing fashion and subculture in a historic scene, evolving in the modern age.

The One Last Spin party takes place at The Book Club on Leonard Street on Thursday, 15th April from 6.30pm. Although entry is free, please RSVP to chimera.production@gmail.com for the entry list, as spaces will be limited. The party continues until 2am and then runs until 29 April.
