Press Release: February 22, 2017
It is 23 years since this boutique country house hotel and restaurant in the heart of Derbyshire won its first major food award. That was back in 1994 and awards have continued every year since.
To mark this achievement Fischer’s are launching a Celebratory Spring Lunch for only £23 per person.
Head Chef Rupert Rowley has put together an imaginative, mouth watering menu featuring modern twists on classic dishes starring seasonal ingredients. Dishes include Honey Roast Ham Ballotine with quail eggs accompanied by picked pineapple, a main course of Confit Duck Leg served with rosti potato and heritage carrots, and a perennial favourite Rhubarb Crumble, served with a Fischer’s flourish as a tart with yoghurt sorbet. Vegetarian alternatives are also available, including a beautiful Parsnip Tarte Tatin with carrot reduction.
The Celebratory Spring Lunch is available from Monday to Friday until 7th April. The Two Course option is priced at £23.00 and Three Courses £30.00.
Opened by Max and Susan Fischer in 1989, Fischer’s has earned an outstanding reputation for the quality of its cuisine, its professional, friendly staff and impeccable service.
Beautiful gardens have been created by Max including a kitchen garden producing vegetables, salads, herbs and fruits for the kitchen and an apiary providing Baslow Hall’s own honey.
