Traffic to VoucherCodes.com was up 152% compared to the busiest day last year (December 29, 2008) and 8% up when compared to CyberMonday, the traditionally high pre-Christmas online shopping day of the year (14 December, 2009). Year-on-year, confirmed sales driven by VoucherCodes.com were up by 160% compared to 2008 despite the continuing recession.

Full figures regarding total sales in 2009 and traffic figures will be released in January 2010. VoucherCodes.com is confident that the numbers will reveal that UK consumers are bucking the doom and gloom predictions of economists by continuing to spend but only when retailers give consumers the voucher codes and discount tools required to convince them to shop.
