Avatar Original kick-starts local music scene

Press Release: February 23, 2010

This Saturday (27th), will see local band Avatar Original strut their stuff at the 3B's bar in Reading. The band are organising a range of music acts, promising that it will be an entertaining night for everyone. The band recently beat over 300 other bands to get to the regional finals of Live and Unsigned, a talent competition aiming to find exciting new musical talent. If they get through to the next stage they will play at London's O2 Arena and could win a recording and management contract worth £30,000.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Carl Komuro said: 'This is going to be a wicked night. Beer, great music and a great venue. The audiences have been great in the past and Andy Hefferan, the bar manager is very supportive of the local live music scene.'

Anyone wanting to come along and see the band is welcome. Support acts begin at 8.30pm and entrance is free. For more information on the band visit www.myspace.com/avataroriginal.
