MyCSP wins Silver Investors in People Award and reports significant rise in employee engagement

MyCSP, the Government’s very first mutual joint venture company, which provides pensions services for many of the country’s best known public sector organisations, has just been accredited with the Silver Investors in People Award.
MyCSP, which this year celebrated its third year in business, was awarded the Silver status, which is only achieved by 6% of the 15,000+ businesses in the UK that are IiP accredited.
At the same time, MyCSP has reported a significant uplift in the way staff view the business. The latest employee engagement survey, showed that 77% of the staff ‘valued being an employee owner rather than just being an employee’.
The mutual joint venture, where employee partners own 25% of the shares in the business, carried out the survey across all staff, achieving an 84% response rate. The MyCSP survey was specifically carried out to assess the strength of its employee ownership culture and reported the following:
• 77% ‘valued being an employee owner rather than just an employee’ – a 10% increase on 2013
• 83% feel they are ‘able to challenge the way things are done at MyCSP’ – up from 56% in 2013
• 76% would ‘recommend MyCSP as a great place to work’ – a 29% increase on 2013

In addition, MyCSP raised a total of £1,310 for a number of charities with the survey as part of its ongoing charity giving initiative.
