Joy has written a spectacular plot for this first interactive internet whodunit. The website is live at www.murdermysteryinvestigations.com, and is currently showing many features, including How to Play as well as a preview, which players can sample free of charge. Players are already playing and loving the new evidence and videos that appear daily, along with the ever increasing tally of victims! Players analyse realistic videos, police statements, post mortem reports, letters, scene of crime photos, emails and dozens of other pieces of evidence to work out whodunit. Players submit their answers online.

The solution will be published on 28th March, and two winners drawn from all the correct solutions, will win a prize of one of Joys Original Murder Weekends for two. Don’t worry if players log on after Mar 28 because they can still turn detective and solve the mystery for fun. And those who’ve already guessed whodunnit in this first online murder mystery can go on and try to solve the next one, because they will appear thick and fast with new plots appearing every three months ensuring continuous fun for would-be sleuths.

Players can choose how they play, either every single day as the new evidence is presented, or save up as two weekend treats or gorge themselves on a single marathon sleuthing session. Players will also have the ability to play together by joining an investigation team chat facility.

Joy comments that The detective story and murder mystery are one of the most enduring British entertainment formats, spanning over 150 years in novels and drama. I have 104 plots, and its clearly now time to bring these to the internet, the 21st Century medium for entertainment. I think that the web is ideal for amateur-sleuthing it allows people to get really absorbed in piecing together the mystery, as they play each day for a fortnight with new evidence that keeps spoiling the previous days best theories!

There are other puzzle based mystery games like Professor Layton, but none of them immerse the player in a completely realistic and believable, complex murder mystery plot, that has the same degree of challenge or realism as this. Its not easy but its certainly entertaining and satisfying when youve worked through all the evidence and discovered the solution!

One world conspiracy, one world murder mystery investigation and the whole worlds sleuthing!!
