LEEDS STUDENTS LIVE FOR AS LITTLE AS £1 A MONTH
A new initiative launched by Leeds property group, Parklane Properties, this month, will see Leeds students living for as little as £1 per month.
Winner of last year’s UK Landlord and Lettings Awards, Parklane Properties is one of the biggest and oldest student accommodation providers in Leeds providing housing to over 1,500 students last year alone.
Launching in December and running for 12 months, the property group will be rewarding one tenant in December, January and February with rent for just £1 and new tenants that sign up between now and 29th February will be in with a chance of winning an entire year’s accommodation for just £12.
The initiative comes following the announcement earlier this month that rents nationwide have reached a record high. Research revealed that the average monthly rent hit a record high of £816 per month nationally, compared with £768 the year before. In Leeds, the average rent increase by 2% to £552, the highest increase on record.
Managing Director of Parklane Properties, Naveen Ahmed, explains; “The cost of living has been a hot topic in the news this month and we hope our ‘live for £1 a month’ initiative will lend a helping hand to some of our loyal tenants, as well as one lucky Leeds student that takes out a tenancy with us over the next few months.”
In addition to Parklane Properties, the Group’s student property portfolio includes accommodation brands Rent Inc, providing student accommodation on an all-inclusive basis, and luxury brand IconInc, which launched earlier this year and provides the most luxurious accommodation in the city.
