Glitter Bean have been designing and selling handmade jewellery for the past year. Whilst on maternity leave, Abi Stove decided that she needed a hobby to focus her mind in between nappy change and feeds. What started as a hobby soon took off into a business, with each design gaining popularity.
During lock down, Abi made rainbow bracelets which she sold via her website. All profits from each sale went to NHS Charities Together, her way of wanting to give back to all of the people risking their lives on the frontline. £1288 was raised and the business gained many new followers. Following onto this, they released a number of animal bracelets to support Chester Zoo and have so far raised over £500.
Starting from 1st September, Glitter Bean are relaunching their business with a new range of sterling silver bracelets & rings and will be donating 20% of all profits to a different charity every month. They are now looking for charities to express interest via their website – www.glitterbean.co.uk/charity
With the new tagline ‘Jewellery is for Giving’ they hope to raise lots of money for important causes whilst continuing to create designs people will love to wear and collect.
