After successfully publishing her recipe book, The Flavour of Joy, Chef-to- the-stars Kate McAloon has joined forces with the country’s leading Certified Organic Chicken producer Inglewood Organic to begin a 3-week road trip; tagged the Return to Good Road Trip after the company’s slogan ‘Return to Good’.
Inglewood Organic adopted the slogan Return to Good after taking on the RM Williams Agricultural company’s ‘Inglewood Farms’ – which was in financial jeopardy at the time. Now operating as a family owned and operated business, the tables have turned and the family want nothing more than to share their dream. Inglewood Organic have been producing clean, safe, and sustainable chicken products for a number of years now, and constantly encourage people to opt for healthy and nourishing food – to Return to Good – by choosing food that is grown the way mother nature intended.
Someone who understands the benefits of eating fresh, organic ingredients is Chef-to- the-stars Kate McAloon. Chef Kate has had the pleasure of cooking for many high profile and celebrity clients including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg, Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, Therese Miranda Kerr, Sheryl Crow, Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman, Courteney Cox, Patricia and David Arquette, Orlando Bloom, Meg Ryan, to name a few.
Since deciding to stay in Australia, Chef Kate has released her new cook book, ‘The Flavour of Joy’, and has recently combined forces with Inglewood Organic to cook up a collection of recipes for the upcoming Inglewood Organic YouTube series. This collaboration also sparked the Return to Good Road Trip in which Chef Kate and Inglewood
Organic have selected some of Chef Kate’s famously flavoursome organic chicken dishes for the lucky locals to try, including stops all the way from Bundaberg to Sydney.
The Return to Good Road Trip will be travelling to more than 30 locations, and each location will have the opportunity to sample two to three original dishes which Chef Kate has prepared from her cook book. These are family friendly dishes and made using readily available cuts of Inglewood Organic chicken that customers can purchase in store, to re-create the dish at home themselves –sharing the Flavour of Joy!
Australian customers are seeking more and more information about where their food comes from, so giving people a chance to meet a member of the family that run the farm, is a realopportunity in itself.
When it comes to the farm, only the best will do, and with accreditation from Australian Certified Organic, all the birds on farm are raised in an ethical manner that is also environmentally sustainable. The farm prides itself on delivering a healthy, clean product, that has not been exposed to chemical pesticides, herbicides, hormones, antibiotics and GMO’s. These issues are no doubt front-of- mind for consumers, and as the Organic Industry has grown more than 17% in the last five years (according to Ibis World), it is therefore unsurprising that more and more everyday Australians are reaching for
Certified Organic on the shelves. Many are seeking healthy alternatives to commercial products, but when it comes to Inglewood Organic Chicken, it is the flavour that Chef Pete Evans described as being ‘second to none’
We hope you will join us for what is sure to be an educational and enjoyable cooking experience!
