Huddersfield florist Alisa Devlin is not afraid of a challenge. In June 2008 she gave up a high profile, international role in the textile industry to fulfil her long held ambition to open her own floral and bridal gown business, La Fleur Floral and Bridal.

Just as she opened for business, Alisa along with many other local retailers faced the backlash of trading through a long and difficult recession. Despite this she has created a fabulous floral boutique in the centre of Huddersfield with a growing reputation as a quality florist within the region.

In support of this, La Fleur has recently been recognised by one of the leading industry standards The Good Florist Guide and become one of only ten West Yorkshire Florists to meet the exacting criteria the guide demands.

Commenting on her recent achievement, Alisa said, ‘I am delighted to be included in the Good Florist Guide for 2010. The floristry industry is very competitive so to be recognised in a relative short period of time for the quality of my flowers, service, delivery and innovative floral designs by one of the industrys standards is a considerable achievement.’

Alisa’s ambitions don’t stop there she now has her sights set on becoming a Master Florist as well as continuing to establish La Fleurs reputation for delivering fabulous flowers to her loyal Huddersfield customers.
