Hemmels Limited, a specialist classic car restoration company, has accelerated its growth plans to meet demand for its range of Mercedes-Benz classic cars.
The accelerated growth plan includes expansion of the production management team, new IT systems, developing bespoke production software and two new product lines to be announced later in Q4 2018. Demand for Hemmels restorations from both international and domestic markets is fuelling the growth as the company benefits from positive industry reviews and a reputation for exemplary work.
Hemmels restores classic Mercedes-Benz SL motorcars including the iconic 300 SL Gullwing, 300 SL Roadster, 280 SL Pagoda and 190 SL Roadster. Offering a new car buying experience, clients order a classic car in the colours of their choice along with a selection of bespoke options and preferences. Hemmels restores the cars according to the exacting standards of its trademarked Neugeboren (“newborn”) Process where every car is fully dismantled and rebuilt from its bare metal beginnings. Like a new car purchase, a full 12 month parts and labour warranty is included along with servicing options.
Prices for a Hemmels restored classic motorcar range from £225K GBP ($295K USD) to over £1.7M GBP ($2.2M USD) for the more coveted models. The value of Hemmels cars has risen, on average, 24% since 2016.
Hemmels reviews from leading classic car authorities has driven the company forward while its reputation amongst enthusiasts and clients has spread.
“The Hemmels ethos is to strive to provide the best restorations possible and let a reputation for excellence attract clients that desire the finest examples.” said Joseph Sullivan, MD Hemmels. “We’re pleased that this simple principle is driving our growth.”
Other business growth initiatives include establishing a presence in key international markets and enhancing customer experience from the moment clients discover Hemmels, through to when their classic motorcar is unveiled.
Hemmels reviews can be found in The Mercedes-Benz Club (UK) Gazette, Mercedes-Enthusiast, Benz Insider while an upcoming article in the Mercedes-Benz USA publication The Star further explores the company’s growing reputation for excellence.
Hemmels is pleased to welcome clients for a personal tour of the showroom and facilities through prior appointment. The company will be displaying a selection of its classic cars at the Lancaster Classic Car show, NEC, Birmingham, UK from November 9 – 11, 2018.
