IFAH is a Brussels based non-profit organisation that represents manufacturers of veterinary medicines, vaccines and other animal health products across the globe.
Grayling won the four-way competitive pitch to secure the project, which will involve work in Europe, North and South America, as well as Japan. Graylings internationally co-ordinated team will work with IFAH to understand the perspective of IFAHs stakeholders, as well as the general public, regarding animal health, the animal health industry and animal health products. The findings of the study will be presented in the spring and will be used to help form ongoing global communications planning at the Federation.
Kim Hardie, Director of Communications for IFAH commented:
We look forward to working with Grayling on this extremely important study for IFAH. The animal health industry provides vital services which keep animals healthy and enhance their quality of life. In safeguarding animal health, the industry has a direct impact on human health by contributing to the supply of high quality and safe food from animal sources, as well as controlling zoonotic diseases in animals from being transmitted to humans. Furthermore, pets are kept healthy as they continue to enrich their owners lives, providing companionship, emotional support, and, in the case of guide dogs, help. However, we realise that the role our industry plays in society as a whole is not always obvious. This is why this work is important to IFAH to see where we need to focus our future communications so we can improve societys understanding of the need for safeguarding animal health.
Vivien Hepworth, Grayling Chairman UK & Republic of Ireland and Head of Global Public Affairs, added:
We are delighted to have secured this significant international mandate, which underlines Graylings ability to provide truly international solutions to its clients across a variety of sectors and disciplines. The animal health industry makes an important contribution to both animal and public health – and as such IFAHs role as the industrys representative is vital. This study will help ensure that IFAHs communications are as effective as possible over the coming years.
