Located in the heart of Knightsbridge, opposite Harvey Nichols, and within a 30 seconds walk of Sloane Street, the penthouse has reportedly already been sold and at £100 million will be the most expensive flat in the world. The design will feature bullet-proof windows and purified air systems.

Created on the site of the former 1950s office building Bowater House in Knightsbridge, purchased in 2004 for £150million, One Hyde Park overlooks Hyde Park and its expanse of greenery, lakes and fountains. The demolition of the original structure began in 2006 and the new development will contain 80 apartments and three exclusive boutiques within four pavilions containing communal spas, squash courts and a private wine-tasting facility. Residents will have access to an underground passageway leading to the nearby Mandarin Oriental hotel.

Apartments at One Hyde Park, which are due for completion by the end of 2010, have already sold at record prices of £6,000 per square foot. Russian buyers and A-list celebrities are among those said to have bought apartments in the exclusive block.
