Unhealthy lifestyles put 4 out of 5 people at risk of an early death, educogym explain this new test and how it could have a dramatic affect to the UK’s lives.

The test will not tell you ‘yes you will have a heart attack’, but it will tell you your heart age and can be a real wake up call to those that are abusing their bodies without realising. “Being told your heart has aged by 10+ years, essentially shortening your life span by years all down to your unhealthy lifestyle is a huge shock to many users of this test” explained Orlstyne Wilson, educogym Canary Wharf personal trainer.

Obesity, poor diet, lack of exercise and high blood pressure are all causes of heart issues that can be fixed. “ A simple test like this is great for helping to improve the lifestyle of those at risk, small changes can make a huge impact, at educogym Canary Wharf we obviously promote a healthy lifestyle, exercise, eating nutritious and wholesome food, reading packaging, stopping smoking and more, all of which are ways to improve your heart health that the test would recommend” confirmed Godfrey Nurse, educogym Canary Wharf personal trainer.

More than 84,000 people die from heart attacks or stroke each year in England, and out of 2 million that took this test, 78% had an older heart age than their actual age, and 14% had an age of 10 years older or higher. “14% may not sound like a huge amount, but out of the 2 million that took the test, that’s 280,000 with very aged and potentially damaged hearts, so you can see where the 84 thousand deaths a year are coming from” stated Orlstyne Wilson, educogym Canary Wharf personal trainer.

“At educogym Canary Wharf, we offer all of our clients regular assessments and measures, these measures very accurately tell the client their body fat percentage, which gives a great indicator of their health, and we aim to get all of our clients into their ideal body fat percentage to ensure they are in optimum health for their age” explained Godfrey Nurse, educogym Canary Wharf personal trainer.
