When a local man of God needed a motorhome, divine intervention led him to Peak Leisure Vehicles! Gary Dundas is the curate at Risley, Stanton-by-Dale and Dale Abbey in Derbyshire, as well as the local butcher and together with his wife Diane, caught the motorhome bug only last year. Yet after just six months, they have already traded up to a larger second vehicle, both courtesy of Peak Leisure Vehicles.
We felt a motorhome could be for us after seeing a van conversion parked outside the shop, and as we go away quite a lot, we decided to look around, explained Gary. Our boarder terrier Hector has made it difficult to find accommodation where he could stay too, so a motorhome seemed like a great idea.
Gary and Diane were advised to try Peak Leisure Vehicles first on recommendations from friends and on arrival Diane immediately spotted the motorhome she wanted a four berth 96 Swift and they bought pretty much on the spot in August last year.
Steve at Peak Leisure Vehicles is great to deal with, continued Gary. We were made very welcome, they are not pushy at all and it is your decision. Once we shook on it, the deal was done and as we run a family business too, we recognised and appreciated the very personal nature of their service.
Peak Leisure Vehicles of Kirk Langley specialise in the sourcing and supply of superior pre-owned motor homes. A family business managed by motor home enthusiasts Claire and Steve Parsons, much of their work comes from repeat business and word of mouth from satisfied customers like Gary and Diane.
Its always nice to get people like Gary and Diane referred to us from other customers, said Peak Leisure Vehicles director Claire Parsons. Many customers come back to us for their second vehicle, as experience tends to reveal the things you wished you had first time around, but it was a surprise to see Gary and Diane again after just six months!
Gary and Diane fell in love with the motorhome lifestyle to such an extent that they were pretty much looking for an immediate upgrade. This time they chose a larger, six berth 07 Autotrail.
We wanted to upgrade while our first motorhome was still valuable, explained Gary. The new Autotrail has a useful dinette and the six berths provide the extra room we wanted. Both are lovely vehicles, but Hector is such a live wire that the additional space in the Autotrail really makes a difference. In fact we are off on our first trip to Skegness in a few weeks time! Its fair to say we have fallen in love with the lifestyle and the freedom it gives you, when you can just get away and switch off.
Gary himself has been quite ill recently, so the motorhome has come in handy as a place to recuperate and convalesce, while still being within reach of his customers and his parishioners. But despite the many benefits, buying a motorhome is an important decision that is worth taking some time over and seeking expert advice.
Buying a motorhome is a big decision, so it was great to be able to go back to Peak Leisure Vehicles and discuss what we were looking for with Claire and Steve, knowing we wouldnt be under any pressure, explained Gary. When you consider this latest motorhome cost more than we paid for the shop back in 1979, you really do appreciate getting the right advice from people you can trust! Diane and I are more than happy to recommend Peak Leisure Vehicles to anyone and have been as happy second time around as we were the first, although it may be a bit longer than six months before they see us again!
