Crowdfunding The First Ever People’s Trial to test if Aluminium is involved in Alzheimers disease

Posted 12th July 2015.

On 14th July 09:00 Professor Chris Exley will be leading a campaign to ask the public to help fund the worlds first clinical trial testing the link between Aluminium and Alzheimer’s disease.

Although we have all heard about and may even know loved ones who suffer from this devastating disease we still do not know what causes it, how we can treat or even cure it.

Over the last 50 years human exposure to aluminium has been consistently linked to Alzheimer’s disease. Recently the world’s leading authority on human exposure to aluminium, Professor Exley, dubbed “Mr Aluminium” for having dedicated his life to researching this remarkable metal, concluded that under certain conditions ‘it was inevitable that aluminium played a contributory role in Alzheimer’s disease’ (http://journal.frontiersin.org/article/10.3389/fneur.2014.00212/abstract).

However, there has not been a single significant clinical trial to test the role of aluminium in Alzheimer’s disease during this time.

Professor Christopher Exley believes that the weight of evidence, which implicates aluminium in Alzheimer’s disease, is so unequivocal that this must be tested in a large-scale clinical trial.

We are asking for the public’s help to support Professor Exley’s crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for a clinical trial which will establish once and for all if human exposure to aluminium is a contributory factor in Alzheimer’s disease.

If this trial goes ahead and it implicates aluminium in Alzheimer’s disease this will mean that, for the very first time, there will be an effective, non-invasive, inexpensive and non-drug-based therapy against the ravages of Alzheimer’s disease.
This is a truly exciting possibility for the future treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
