City and West End workers take to the stage
Singers from Popchoir City and West End will be joining 300 others on stage to bring a dose of perfectly pitched pop to the Central Hall Westminster on Saturday 11th July.
Members from Popchoir locations across London will unite for a one-off performance in the awe-inspiring surroundings of the Central Hall, the site of legendary rock group, Queen’s, epic New Year’s Eve concert last year.
They will be singing some of the nation’s best-loved pop songs in arrangements that will render audiences speechless. Songs include favourites by John Legend, Duran Duran, Emilie Sande and Lady Gaga to name just a few.
Helen Hampton, founder of Popchoir said: “We are incredibly excited about bringing such a large choir together at the Central Hall. Our choir members include people of all ages and from all backgrounds, from young mums through high-powered City workers, to the retired, all of whom are excited to have the opportunity to sing in such an amazing venue and are raring to go for the big event. Singing as part of choir is extraordinarily empowering and gives our members a great sense of well-being as well as boosting confidence, self-esteem and relieving stress, not to mention the opportunity for new-found friendships.”
Popchoir has featured recently on Blake’s UK tour, supporting them at the Fairfield Halls, Union Chapel and on Songs of Praise. Tickets for the Central Hall concert are available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/Popchoir
