Cass welcomed over 110 alumni to its first Undergraduate reunion held last month. Some travelled from as far as the USA, France and Spain to attend the evening and enjoy the chance to catch up with friends they had not seen in many years.
The evening started with a champagne reception and speeches from Professor Steve Haberman, Deputy Dean of Cass and Professor Costas Grammenos, Head of Undergraduate School of Cass, followed by networking over more drinks.
During his speech, Professor Haberman thanked the alumni for attending, updated those regarding recent developments at the School and encouraged them to continue to support Cass and help to build the Cass brand.
Professor Grammenos said after the event: Over 110 graduates from as far back as 1980 from Banking and International Finance, Business studies, Investment Analysis and Insurance, Investment and Financial Risk Management and Management gathered to enjoy an evening of catching-up on developments, remembering Cass undergraduate (http://www.cass.city.ac.uk/undergrad/index.html) academic staff who taught them and reminiscing on good times.
It was a very warm atmosphere with an incredibly receptive audience who, in the future, could be very useful to the School and its students.
Cass undergraduate (http://www.cass.city.ac.uk/undergrad/index.html) alumnus Richard Cree, who is now the Group Editor of Director Publications, said: It was the first alumni event Ive been to and it was excellent to catch up with so many old faces – old being the key word – most of whom I hadnt seen for almost 20 years.
