The UK market leader in online takeaway portals, www.just-eat.co.uk, has reported a 109% growth in Cardiff orders since the start of the year. Just-Eat.co.uk recently launched their first national TV campaign, introducing the characters Belly and Brain to the British public.

The proportion of Cardiff-dwellers ordering their meals through the website rather than directly through their local takeaway on the high street, has grown steadily throughout the year. The service has been particularly popular with the youthful surfing crowd in the area, who regularly use the portal as a means of ordering their takeaways.

Cardiff born Managing Director of http://www.Just-Eat.co.uk, David Buttress, said:

It is great to see my fellow Cardiffians embracing the online ordering concept, and ordering their takeaways the smart way. The massive growth we are seeing in Cardiff is really exciting and especially pleasing for me, being a local lad.

City Pizza on City Road in Cardiff is one of the local takeaways benefitting from the growth. Owner of City Pizza, Mr Kakay, said:

The volume of orders we receive via http://www.Just-Eat.co.uk has always been impressive. I joined the service in 2006, but recently the online orders we receive have gone through the roof. I am really glad I joined the service as not only is it easy for my customers, but its easy for me too.
