Canada PR Visa points: Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program Points Calculator

Manitoba is one of the prairie provinces of Canada having a rich cultural heritage and provides the citizens with higher growth prospects and a high standard of life. Like other provinces in Canada, Manitoba also has an immigration program that is a provincial nomination program that allows them to nominate the skilled and capable and immigrants for permanent residence in the province – Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP)

How to immigrate to Manitoba?

MPNP provides an immigration pathway to skilled immigrants via which they can provide a steady stream of immigrants into the province who can help in the development of the province by filling the gap in the local labor market.

A skilled immigrant means that the immigrant must be having work experience in an occupation that is categorized under National Occupation Classification (NOC) NOC skill level 0, A, or B. Other than having work experience in an occupation there are also other requirements and the majority of them are as follows:

  • Candidates must be able to score 60 out of 100 points in the Manitoba point assessment grid.
  • Needs to furnish ample documentation in support of residency in Manitoba province.
  • Work experience of the candidate must be of a minimum of 2 years in the occupation as mentioned above categorized under NOC skill level 0, A, or B.
  • Must provide a settlement plan specifying the interest to live in the province of Manitoba.
  • For language, proficiency candidates need to have a minimum score of 4.5 IELTS, which should not be more than 2 years old.

Manitoba provincial nomination program (MPNP) has categories to provide an easy and simple way to apply for permanent residence visa and these categories with different Canada PR Visa process are as follows:

Skilled Workers in Manitoba – This category for skilled workers is locally driven and is based on the needs of Manitoba’s local labor market demands. Temporary foreign workers and international student graduates who are currently working or studying in Canada and has received a job offer can apply under this category

Skilled Workers Overseas – Via this category skilled immigrants outside of Manitoba can apply for provincial nomination and can apply for a permanent residence visa in the province.

International Education Stream – This new category is dedicated to Manitoba graduates to provide international students graduating in Manitoba and responds to industry needs quicker pathways to appointment.

Business Investor Stream – This stream allows Manitoba to recruit and appoint qualified investors and entrepreneurs from around the world who have the intention and the ability to start or buy a business in Manitoba.

If an express entry program candidate gets a provincial nomination, they are given a major boost of 600 CRS points. You can check your CRS score with a CRS calculator by answering simple questions based on your credentials.
