Brothers Cider announces the launch of its new Rhubarb & Custard cider. The cider will be available exclusively to Aldi customers as of 4th June 2017 in stores across the UK.
Tony Baines, Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying at Aldi UK, comments: “At Aldi, we know that shoppers are increasingly interested in the latest drinks trends and flavour combinations on the market and our aim is to bring innovative products into stores to meet with consumer demand. We are very excited to exclusively launch the new Brothers Rhubarb & Custard cider this summer. Brothers has been a long standing supplier and we are sure that the nostalgic Rhubarb & Custard flavour will be a great addition to Aldi shelves.”
Matthew Showering, Managing Director of Brothers, commented: “We are pleased that Aldi has agreed to stock this new product in time for summer. Rhubarb and custard is a particularly British flavour, and our new cider combines crisp fruit with creamy custard notes. We initially developed the flavour through a syrup, available on draught mixed with our pear cider, but we have since developed it into a cider in its own right, which will now provide light refreshment for our retail customers.”
Brothers Rhubarb & Custard cider will be sold in 6 x 4 x 275ml glass multipacks, alongside which, Aldi will also stock Brothers Toffee Apple cider in 4 x 275ml multipacks.

Brothers Cider is the original and No 1 Festival Cider brand. Established in 1995, Brothers is owned by 4 Brothers from the Showering Family, whose family have been producing cider in Somerset since 1658, and whose grandparents had huge success with the Babycham brand in the 1950s. Brothers Cider was first launched at Glastonbury Festival in 1995, after Michael Eavis gave the Brothers the opportunity to have a bar at the Jazz World Stage selling Perry based drinks. Today, our range of fruit ciders are available in a variety of formats in bars, shops and at festivals across the UK. www.brotherscider.co.uk @BrothersCider
