The baby wraps, which are made in the UK, also aid with breastfeeding. Amawrap regularly provide slings to hospitals to encourage ‘kangaroo care’ with premature babies and gives chosen charities complimentary carriers.
Founder Shabs Kwofie said: “Babywearing is booming right now. It’s an exciting time at Amawrap, with lots of new developments planned. We continue to grow as a business and are delighted to be making our debut at The Baby Show this year, where we will be showcasing our range of core colours and new patterns.“
Educating parents about the many benefits of babywearing is at the core of Amawraps mission. Founded in 2012, Amawrap provide help, support and information to parents about the importance of skin-to-skin contact, which encourages the release of endorphins, including oxytocin – the love hormone. Since the birth of the business, Amawrap baby slings have won multiple awards and are acknowledged as a ‘hip-healthy’ product by the IHDA. The stylish slings are also beneficial for colic and reflux babies.
Shabs added: “Amawrap is proud to support UK businesses by ensuring all our products are made in the UK by a local, family-owned manufacturer, so you can be completely assured that when you buy an Amawrap you would be buying a sling made with care. Our carbon footprint also extends to the way our slings are made, manufactured by adults in fair conditions.”
