AFMC Announces Easier Admission Process for Civilians
Armed Force Medical College (AFMC) is a prestigious medical college in India. It provides both undergraduate and post graduate courses in Medical studies. The college also provides assured career prospects in defence services. The main courses offered by the college are MBBS, Nursing, and speciality in various branches.
MBBS is one of the main undergraduate courses offered by AFMC. The duration of the course is 4 years and 6 months. After the completion of the course, there is a compulsory internship of 1 year. Candidates seeking admission for this program must have passed all the subjects opted in 10+2 in the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as the compulsory subjects. The Candidate must have passed 10+ 2 with minimum 60% aggregate marks in all the three science subjects and minimum 50% marks in English. The candidate is also required to have passed 10th with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

From this year onwards, the process of admissions for civilians has been eased. The Pune Cantonment Board officials claim that the process will be made easy with more awareness and formalities. Sanjeev Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of PCB said that the army has also agreed to relax procedures for civilians in other areas as well.
