Spring Open Weekend 8th & 9th May 2010

The upmarket antiques centre in Edenbridge, Kent, run by Lennox Cato (specialist on BBCs Antiques Roadshow) and his wife Susan, are hosting their 4th Spring Open Weekend to mark 100 years of the premises role as antiques showrooms.

To mark the occasion each of the twelve dealers have chosen something to formulate a Time Line starting from 1510 and following through to 2010 with an antique of the future.

The galleries have built up quite a reputation for its events and this one will be no exception with Pimms, Canaps and summer jazz to make the occasion go with a zing.

Also during the weekend their clock specialist Derek Roberts of Derval Antiques, will be signing his recently published book, A Life with Antique Clocks. This fully illustrated book offers a fascinating insight into the world of this eminent clock dealer starting from the 1960s up to the present day and discusses the pitfalls as well as the enormous fulfilment and enjoyment to be gained from the world of fine art and antiques.

Their in house interior designers, Mrs. Monro Ltd., are delighted to be displaying fabrics by Jean Monro which has just received a Royal Warrant.

The weekends opening times: Saturday 10am to 7pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm

All welcome.
