World Women Project
Ms. Soli Tii is the founder of the World Women Project that was formed in September 2015. The project involved the voices of women from around the world who were featured on tracks that are described as ambient, dark and experimental. There were over 30 tracks created.
The project ended in January 2016, but upon meeting and working with a Mongolian woman recently, she had decided to make a one-off track featuring the Mongolian voice to celebrate Mothers and Children’s day, which is a day celebrated in Mongolia on 1st June.
“When I first met this lovely young lady I immediately thought about the World Women Project. Although I had closed the project at the beginning of the year, I wanted to feature her voice because the Mongolian language is not a language heard often especially not in Europe. So that’s when I decided to do one track featuring her voice in celebration. My mother who passed away almost 17 years ago now was partly the inspiration for me starting the project – along with many other things that were happening around the time I started WWP including contributing to two other projects. It also seemed fitting to celebrate the Mongolian Mothers and Children’s day when doing this one off track as the timing of our collaboration was just right”.
The unnamed track – which is currently being produced will be released on 1st June 2016 and will be available to stream on the project website and on YouTube.
