Why Staycation, when a family holiday abroad costs only £175 per person?

Posted 2nd February 2010.

With these years prices and special offers, its cheaper to get away with Esprit than to stay at home and do day-trips to entertain the children, said Esprits Head of Marketing, Moira Clarke. There is so much to do in our resorts, and some of the best things are free! Paddling, swimming and dam-building in the streams and lakes costs nothing, and adventure forest trails, bike-hire, childrens fun-parks and summer toboggan runs make for further inexpensive family fun.

The new Summer 2010 brochure includes an exclusive new range of Crunch-Buster money-saving deals and added value offers, aimed at making a family holiday abroad more than just a dream this summer, and saving up to £500 per family off last years equivalent holiday prices.

The programme features four selected resorts in the French and Swiss Alps, with a range of activities which all the family can join in together, including three different Escorted Adventure Week itineraries to choose from. A comprehensive child care service is also available for children from four months to 11 years, to enable parents to have some time to themselves for more adventurous hikes, mountain-bike rides and river-rafting trips than would be possible with small children involved.

Accommodation is in Esprits own fully catered Chalet Hotels, which combine hotel-standard facilities, food and service with the relaxed ambience of a traditional chalet, the convenience of English-speaking hotel and child care staff, and the reassurance for parents that all guests present will be like-minded families, also travelling with young children.

Prices start from £349 per adult per week (after a £50 per adult Cash-Back offer for early bookings), with the first child aged 2-5 years free and others from £99, depending on age. A family of four with two children under six can therefore have a weeks holiday for only £798, (ie. averaging £174.50 p.p.) departing 3rd July 2010, including seven nights accommodation with daily buffet breakfast, childrens high tea and five-course adult evening meals with wine and coffee for five nights, and a family barbecue on the sixth evening.
