The client is often present at the shoot to give their approval, but if they can’t be there, test shots are carried out to send to them so they can give the go ahead. “This is an essential step” says Andy, “the test shots give the client peace of mind that we’ve understood and interpreted the brief correctly, and they’re going to get exactly what they want.”

During the shoot, lighting is frequently adapted to create different moods; meanwhile the fashion photographer uses skill, experience and precision to do what they do best.
