Essex County Council goes green after installing energy efficient panels in kitchens across 25 schools in the area, saving energy and reducing cost

Gas safety experts S&S Northern has improved both safety and efficiency in over 25 schools across Essex by supplying energy efficient gas safety panels to protect their kitchens against gas leaks and reduce costs.

Alan Knibb of Essex County Council explains, We needed to update equipment in a number of schools across the county to ensure that their kitchens complied with new regulations. S&S Northern supplied us with the panels quickly and professionally and all the schools are now benefitting from reduced energy costs.

The Merlin 3000GD panels from S&S Northern work by only extracting the amount of air necessary from the kitchens, as Steve McMahon, Director at S&S Northern explains, The system minimizes the amount of heat being unnecessarily extracted from the kitchen which in turn provides reduced energy costs, due to reduced heat loss and fan running costs.
