The gap between generations using mobile phones is growing as more young people are taking advantage of the technology to date online than older people.

According to a recent Usurv survey carried out by Smooch.com, the majority of youthful adults use mobile phones to access the dating site in contrast to older singletons. Findings reveal that 83% of 18-29 year-olds log onto the internet via their smartphone to find their soul mate whereas only 17% of people aged 60 and over do the same.

The study suggests that older people are less in tuned with mobile phones indicating a generation gap as 50% of 30-39 year-olds use online dating on their phone in comparison to 19% of 50-59 year olds. The employment of a singleton is important too because 100% of students use their phone to access the dating website which differs to 25% of those unemployed.
