The roll out of concessions is expected to begin next month. The green signal to Orange from ASDA came subsequent to successful trail sessions of eight concessions that Orange offered ASDA assessed in its Manchester and Milton Keynes superstores.
The new line of concessions from Orange can be seen as Orange’s concessions plans getting on track after it experienced a lull last year.
In fact, ASDA is believed to have given the nod to more concessions and the new levy of concessions will be available not only in the 32 ASDA superstores but in a number of smaller stores as well.
The trials have been a success and we are now planning a significant rollout of Orange concessions,, Mr Spencer Brown, Telecom Manager of ASDA speaking to the media observed.
He remarked that following the successful run of the concessions from Orange in the two superstores mentioned, ASDA has taken this decision. He informed that customers can look forward to more concessions than the eight provided earlier and even smaller ASDA outlets will offer them.
Mr Brown added, We have to be mindful of the of the space in shops but we have a planned number to open and will be rolling that out in the next few weeks.
A significant change will be that the ASDA staff will be working in close association with the Orange personnel. Thus bringing in technical knowledge to the existing retail experience that ASDA possseses on the kind of concessions and packages that can be offered.
