Internet favored as an employment tool for Parker Worldwide applicants.
Parker Worldwides new survey has found that jobseekers are increasingly turning to the internet when applying for vacancies, according to Parker Worldwide HR Team.
Parker Worldwide HR Team Research discovered that almost 80% of respondents to their survey use the internet to send CVs by email or apply for jobs, compared to only 20% who use the postal system to apply and send speculative CVs.
Many of the 120 applicants, who apply for a wide range of positions within our UK based offices, cited the fast response time and lack of time that searches take up as the main reason for their using the internet as opposed to other methods.
The HR Manager explained the findings of the research.
Online search and application techniques are now the most prevalent methods with both active and passive candidates, which suggests that candidates are proactively taking charge of their search for employment, According to the Office for National Statistics, nearly 15 million households in Britain had internet access in 2007, an increase of just over one million households over the last year and nearly four million households since 2002.
Parker Worldwide Recruitment works on behalf of both permanent and freelance work and in-house candidates across the creative, design and branding, market research, seminar, events, experiential, pilot programs, integrated, PR and sales promotion sectors.
