IBCS Association co-founder Rolf Hichert will be delivering his inaugural UK IBCS WITH SUCCESS seminar in London in April to introduce the practical benefits of implementing visualisation standards in business communication.
Rolf Hichert will talk about the innovative and practical approach to the presentation of financial and statistical information, using charts and tables. Applying the SUCCESS formula of the International Business Communication Standards (IBCS), developed over years of research and development, many international corporations and European government agencies improve the quality, transparency, ease of interpretation and speed of administration of their performance reporting.
Communication and notation standards are readily accepted and applied in a wide range of other professional disciplines, such as mechanical and electrical engineering, maths, computing and music. On this basis Hichert challenges the traditional approach to performance reporting where the design and format of output is often left to the creativity and preferences of the individual analyst. This has resulted in a confusion of styles, reports that are poorly interpreted by users, loss of credibility and wasteful administration.
According to Jürgen Faisst, General manager of the IBCS Association, in the increasingly challenging economic and business environment “it is more critical now than ever before for financial and business analysts, financial controllers and reporting professionals to understand best practices in the design of reports, dashboards and presentations.” IBCS delivers a practical and readily applied set of disciplines and tools to achieve this. The IBCS standards have been embraced by leading organisations such as Philips, SAP, Coca-Cola, the German Military, Bayer, Lufthansa, Daimler, Roche, and BMW.
This will be the first time that the SUCCESS formula of IBCS has been introduced to the UK, and attendees at the London seminar will learn the key principles of designing efficient and effective reports, dashboards and presentations, together with examples of best practice and the fundamentals of the IBCS standards.
The event is bringing together senior finance professionals who regularly commission, develop or analyse financial reports, providing a unique and exclusive opportunity to meet and listen to Rolf Hichert and to really understand how these global standards can improve organisational reporting.
The seminar is being hosted by Mazepoint Ltd, Business Intelligence specialists, and is taking place on Thursday 27th April. It is being held at the Carlton Club, 69 St James’s St, London, SW1A 1PJ and the doors open at 8:30am. Full registration details are available at www.mazepoint.com/ibcs-london-seminar-registration/
In addition, Jürgen Faisst and James Noble, Mazepoint’s Managing Director, will host an introductory webinar on Wednesday 16th March at 10:30 am UK time, which is free to attend. Joining instructions are available on the event website: www.mazepoint.com/visualisation-standards-in-business-communication/
